COOPERATION WITH PENNA DESIGN

We have begun cooperation with the artist Reijo Penna. He has created in the 80’s a playful summersault bear made from wood. Reijo’s Judo hobby’s ukemi fall, where one always lands on their feet, gave inspiration the bear’s summersault feature. The bear knows this ukemi-technique by nature.

Hardman design has made it possible for a new introduction of the bear. We have created a modern manufacturing method, with which the bears are produced today. The bears are manufactured respecting ethical guidelines from selected birch trees grown in Finnish forests.
