Stool

Stools have been used for centauries as seats, but rarely as beautiful eye catching design products. So often has seating comfort been sacrificed in the name of design. Production was sole less and based on an assembly line.

A desire to fix this defect created a challenge to make one better. This sparked up design and testing as well as refining and observation on what kind of form factor enables a unique exterior without sacrificing seating comfort. Inspiration was derived from places where usage has been tested in extreme circumstances.

A stool was found, which has been molded to a peak state in heavy use, in a time, when the durability and functionality of products was self evident, without diluting artistic style. A stool which has been sat on for thousands and thousands of hours. A harvesters which tells this story was found. Hardman wants to shed light to this story; craftsmanship, beauty, creativity and persistence. This stool reflects the mindset of a Hardman; creative and talented, beautiful and durable, at is most genuine.

From the point when these hard men got their hands on this metal harvester seat, many periods of time have passed. There has been planning, testing, molding and observing of matters, from which metal changes into wood all the while respecting the original, bringing it yet again into use worthy of its stature. To be sat on for thousands of hours, as a durable and beautiful piece of furniture to meet the needs of modern consumers.
